Rihanna has no compunction about showing and body and continues to cause controversy , after having used a transparent look at the CFDA Awards, earlier this week. Now an ad in which the singer appears topless to promote her new perfume, Rogue, has divided opinions.
According to the newspaper "Women's Wear Daily" ("WWD"), advertising is being considered by the regulator publicity department of the UK as provocative and sexually suggestive, and should only be placed in locations that children should not see with ease.
The company that produces the fragrance told the publication that Rihanna appears in a "position of power" that the announcement "follows the line of previously released by her and falls in advertising standards of the fragrance industry."
The decision was made due to a single complaint about the advertisement, placed in the elevator doors at a mall in the UK, it was "overly sexual and degrading to women." Thus, now the image will be positioned away from schools or places frequented by children.
