Such a surprise as he felt when he scored the decisive goal in the victory of the United States's Accommodation by Ghana 2-1 on Monday , seemed to have invaded the young American defender John Brooks to see the battalion of journalists who were waiting in mixed zone of the Arena das Dunas in Natal.Without being familiar with many microphones and recorders, he drew laughter from reporters at times, the timidity with which everyone responded. Born in Germany and having never lived in the U.S., the young have American and German mother and father, and opted for U.S. citizenship. - It's amazing. As I told some of my companions, two days ago I dreamed that would head the winning goal after 35 minutes from time. It happened. I hope that was not my last dream (laughs). In celebration I could only thank God for the goal and the win.  Very shy, defender, who replaced Matt Besler in the range, said he was advised to enter the game by assistant coach Klinsmann, and revealed that he talked with the family, who lives in Germany, about the game. - I actually talked to them and said he would start on the bench. They said they were rooting for me to enter the field. I walked in and gave who gave ... (laughs). I'm not a guy who talks a lot, and my position is important to talk to guide companions. But it'll get better soon - finished the quarterback.

Jurgen Klinsmann, John Brooks went from being a boy to becoming a man against Ghana.  - It is normal for a young man to get to a group, and at some point, have their first chance. Everyone wants to see how far it goes. We saw at the club and in practice it is very talented, and have not had any problems in putting him on the field. John ceased to be a boy and became a man today. There is no better stage to show to the world for the first time a World Cup.
