Stuck in traffic, Pelé hear 1st time on the radio and asks "positive thinking"

King of Football comes to Morumbi for the second time, approving action of selection against Mexico and trust rating on Cameroon                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    The King of Football was one of the victims of traffic accidents that took over the streets of St. Paul on the afternoon of Tuesday.Travelling Santos to São Paulo Morumbi in to accompany the departure of Brazil against Mexico, Pelé had to listen to the radio the first time. Came to believe that the team "hoped" his presence in front of a television to make the goal. Nothing done. But the tie by 0-0 of Castellan Arena for the second round of Group A of the World Cup, did not take the optimism of triple world champion in relation to qualifying for the next stage.

- I suffered a lot. I followed the first time in the car, on the radio. Out here we suffer more. I thought you were coming here (in Morumbi) to see a goal, but it did not. We have to believe. Has no easy game in this league.

The last time that Pele had heard a game of Team Cup in the radio does not bring good memories. It was the final of the 1950 World Cup when Uruguay took the title at the Maracana. On this occasion the King, still a boy, was in Bauru, where he spent his childhood.
- I think this time will be different. We go to the final. Brazil played well today (Tuesday), just did not win. Has no easy game. The Cameroon (next opponent) touches the ball well. If (the Brazil) to win 1-0 is good. It is to have positive thinking - the King sent the message
Brazil and Cameroon face off next Monday, from 17h (GMT), the Mane Garrincha, the federal capital. Before, Africans still have the duel against Croatia on Wednesday at the Arena da Amazônia at 19h (GMT).
