Opponent of Brazil, Cameroon embarks not for the World Cup, says site

proposal on Friday and threatened to boycott the World Cup                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              In dispute with the federation of the country, the Cameroonian national team would not have shipped to Brazil on Sunday morning. According to the "Camfoot" site, the delegation did not appear in the Nsimalen Airport to catch the flight planned for 9 am (local time), pending an agreement on the payment of bonuses to cast the dispute to the World Cup.

The athletes came to state in social networks who were en route to Brazil, although the possibility of boycotting the shipment was, since the requirement was payment in cash before the cast entered the plane to the World Cup host country. The landing of the African team was scheduled for 13:30 (GMT), in Rio de Janeiro.

In addition to considering the low values, the cast wanted to get paid in cash on the first phase before traveling to Brazil. But, according to the French "L'Equipe", the players are not enthusiastic about the proposal on Friday, offering 6% of bonuses for the first stage, 20% for the quarter-final, 30% for Wednesdays, 40% to the semifinals and 50% for the final or the match for third place.

Last week, the players refused to carry the banner of the country in a ceremony attended by the Cameroonian Prime Minister. To avoid further embarrassment before the public, the German coach Volker Finke, team commander since May last year, had to intervene.   

The situation is not unprecedented. In 2002, on the eve of the World held in South Korea and Japan, the Cameroonian national team refused to leave the hotel where she was staying, in Roissy, France, until a satisfactory agreement on the payment of amounts in the competition were achieved.

This Saturday, the Cameroonian national team beat Moldova 1-0 by in a game played in the capital Yaoundé without Eto'o holders, Poplar-Moting and goalkeeper Itandje, whose absences were related with the leaders. The big star of the team, Eto'o, would only come to the stadium early in the second half and left before the end.
